Ordering terms and product clarifications

The notes below define how Chef Link Express groups catalog items, schedules deliveries, and handles condition checks. Reading them before placing a bulk order helps avoid mismatched expectations on packaging, lead times, and product tolerance.

Category-based order grouping

Items are packed by category — cookware, knives, pastry tools, probes, and storage — so a single delivery can be checked against the packing list without opening every carton. Mixed orders are split into separate cartons per group.

Commercial delivery scheduling

Deliveries to commercial zones are booked in time windows rather than exact hours. The dispatch team confirms the window one working day ahead, and receiving docks must be available during the agreed slot.

Quantity pricing tiers

Unit pricing is applied per category tier, not per mixed carton. A tier is reached when the total quantity within one category meets the published threshold. Mixing categories does not combine toward a higher tier.

Knife edge and handle tolerance

ChefEdge blades are honed to a 15-degree angle at the factory. Minor edge variation of up to 2 degrees is considered acceptable and does not qualify as a defect. Handles may show slight grain differences between batches.

Cookware base flatness

Encapsulated aluminum bases are checked for flatness at room temperature. After exposure to high heat, minor convexity of up to 1.5 mm may develop; this is normal for commercial stainless steel cookware and does not affect even heating.

Thermometer calibration note

ThermoPro units leave the warehouse calibrated to factory reference. Recalibration is recommended after heavy use or if the probe is dropped. The device supports manual offset adjustment for on-site verification.

Product images are representative. Slight differences in finish, handle shape, or packaging may occur between production runs. For order-specific questions, reference the category code and quantity tier in your inquiry.

Catalog capabilities

Built for the pace of a working kitchen

Every function on this page exists to shorten the gap between ordering and service. No decorative extras — just the tools a busy purchasing manager or head chef actually reaches for when stock runs low.

Category-based ordering

Browse by cookware, knives, pastry tools, or plating rather than scrolling a flat list. Each group keeps related items together, so building a full order takes fewer steps and fewer mistakes.

Quantity pricing per line

Prices adjust automatically as quantities change, which suits kitchens that buy the same knife set or probe case every month. The total updates before checkout, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Delivery scheduling for commercial zones

Pick a delivery window that fits service breaks, not the other way around. Orders are grouped by route and zone, which keeps freight predictable for restaurants and catering teams across South Africa.

Repeat buyer checkout

Saved billing details and past order lists cut the admin time on reorders. A catering business that orders the same stainless cookware monthly can re-enter the catalog and finish in minutes.

Stock built for daily service

The catalog leans toward heavy-gauge steel, forged blades, and compact storage that survive high-volume shifts. Items are selected for real wear, not display shelves.

Hospitality training ready

Training centers can outfit stations with the same tools used in professional kitchens, so students practice on equipment that matches industry standards rather than domestic substitutes.
