Ordering & Delivery

Common questions from commercial kitchens

Straight answers about bulk orders, delivery windows, and what happens after you place an order with Chef Link Express.

How do quantity pricing tiers work?

Each product page lists three tiers: single unit, case pack, and pallet-level volume. The price per unit drops as you move up a tier. Your cart automatically applies the tier that matches the total quantity for that item, so you see the correct rate before checkout.

Which areas get scheduled delivery?

We deliver to commercial zones across South Africa. During checkout you pick a delivery window that fits your service schedule — morning slots before lunch prep or afternoon slots for the next day. If your address falls outside a covered zone, the system will flag it before you confirm the order.

Can I split one order across multiple locations?

Yes. If you run more than one kitchen, you can assign line items to different delivery addresses within the same order. Each location gets its own packing slip and delivery window, while you keep a single invoice for accounting.

What is the return policy on cookware and knives?

Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. If a tool arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, contact our support desk within 48 hours and we will arrange a replacement or credit. Items that show signs of commercial use are covered under the manufacturer warranty instead.

How do repeat buyers streamline checkout?

Create a business account to save your default delivery address, preferred payment method, and frequently ordered items. You can reorder a past order in two clicks or build a standing list for weekly restocking of disposables and pantry staples.

Do you offer training for hospitality students?

We supply hospitality training centers with the same equipment used in professional kitchens. If you are equipping a teaching kitchen, our team can help you select durable tools that withstand student use. Reach out through the contact page and mention your program size.

Ordering terms and delivery conditions

The points below clarify how Chef Link Express groups orders, schedules commercial deliveries, and handles product definitions. Read them before placing a repeat order so there are no surprises at the loading dock.

Category-based order grouping

Orders are assembled by category — cookware, knives, pastry tools, plating, probes, and storage. Each category ships as a separate line on the invoice. If you need items from multiple categories, they are packed together only when they share the same delivery window and commercial zone.

Quantity pricing definition

Quantity pricing applies per category, not across the full order. A discount tier is triggered when the unit count within a single category reaches the published threshold. Mixing categories does not combine counts toward a tier.

Commercial delivery scheduling

Delivery windows are reserved for commercial zones only. Residential addresses fall outside the standard scheduling system and may require a separate arrangement. Confirmed windows are locked 48 hours before dispatch; changes after that point may shift the delivery date.

Product grade and warranty scope

All items are graded for professional kitchen use. The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal commercial workloads. Damage from misuse, improper cleaning, or modification is excluded. Keep the original packing slip to file a claim.

Repeat buyer checkout notes

Returning customers can reuse saved category lists to speed up reordering. The streamlined checkout keeps your previous delivery zone and contact details on file, but you must confirm the delivery window at each order. Stock levels are checked at the time of checkout, not when the list is saved.
